Another
rounding of facts focused on the results of the Australian
Bureau of Statistics 1996 research into Deaths in Custody and Custody
Related Events. Digital metronomes atop seven-foot tall stands
beeped out the statistical findings of six of the areas researched.
Each viewer was asked to enter the installation room alone and
to follow a specific path. The arhythmic pattern of sound called
to mind mourning bells or cries of lamentation. |
